NYCUP & Bowery Missions
The past month has been a blur of shooting, interviewing, and editing for the New York City Urban Project. NYCUP is a group that is a part of InterVarsity, the largest college Christian fellowship in the world. In NY and NJ alone, they have 56 chapters.
Through InterVarsity and NYCUP, students from all over the country spent during their spring break in Manhattan and the Bronx to feed the homeless, fight human trafficking and slavery, and tutor and mentor youth. One of those weeks was spent at The Bowery Mission cooking and serving meals to those that lived at the Bowery and also to the homeless community in Manhattan.
Here's a video of what the students did there and what they have learned from it.
