I couldn't believe it when they told me. Due to some crazy unforeseen circumstances Veronica and Jamie had to change their venue a few months before the actual wedding day. But somehow, by sheer force of will and amazing teamwork, they found a beautiful garden behind a hardware store to have their ceremony, and a music venue a few blocks away to have their reception. And as if it was the plan all along, friends and family came together, sat on haystacks two witness two people becoming one.
But as the ceremony ended and they walked away from the guests, I saw Jamie kissing his now wife's hand, and I realized that the venue could have been the middle of an empty alleyway and it didn't matter. What really mattered couldn't be defined or contained in a place, but only by the person he was next to.
